Waste Optimisation Project ManagerLocated within the Waste Management Service within Community safety and Street Scene departments, the post holder will bring forward and deliver a waste management project focussed on optimisation or routes and rounds. This includes overall project management with a key focus on risk management, workforce management and implementation, including testing and assurance in relation to the proposals.  Working Mon-Fri, 8am till 4pm (37hrs per week)Based in Rotherham, S66Paying up to £28ph PAYE (no ltd)4 months, minimumMust be able to pass a DBS  Provide specialist technical and professional advice to the service and its customers.Lead/facilitate other staff to ensure effective service delivery and delivery of projects, including training, planning and allocating work, checking work is done to time and quality and carrying out on-job training.Carry out research, monitoring of data and reviews of local and national policy and best practice.Provide effective performance management and coordination of the resources allocated to the delivery of projects and the service, including contract management of providers.Ensure performance indicators and targets are met and monitor and review standard procedures, operational practices and set up revised working practices.Organise and chair meetings, focus groups and working groups, both internal and external, including setting or agreeing agendas.Ensure good financial management to meet budgetary targets.Promote good working relationships with internal customers, other local authorities, outside agencies and the private sector.Present formal and informal reports to all levels of management and Elected Members, including recommendations for improvement or future action.Handle customer complaints (verbal and written) to the appropriate resolution within agreed timescales.  Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices.4Recruitment Services is an equal opportunities employer.  To discuss this vacancy, please apply to the job with your updated CV
