The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced User Researcher for a 6-month contract opportunity offered on an outside-IR35 engagement.

This role is perfect for someone with hands-on experience in user research within the public sector, particularly working with Government Digital Services (GDS) and during the Beta phase of digital service delivery.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the services we deliver meet real user needs by gathering, analysing and synthesizing user feedback, while adhering to GDS standards.

Consulting as a User Researcher, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and conduct research activities, provide actionable insights, and help shape the user experience throughout the Beta phase.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a User Researcher, ideally within government or public sector digital services
  • Strong experience in conducting user research throughout the Beta phase of digital projects
  • Knowledge of Government Digital Service (GDS) guidelines and the ability to apply them in a research context
  • Expertise in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews, usability testing, surveys and data analysis
