We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor for a full-time, permanent position in our industrial manufacturing department based in Rotherham. The role involves overseeing all Shift Maintenance operations, ensuring machinery is in perfect working condition to facilitate smooth production.

Description
As the Maintenance Supervisor you will report into the Maintenance Manager and will be tasked with the following;
- Responsible for the shift maintenance function, providing a focal point for out of hours contact.
- Supervise, schedule & organise team to deliver expected set KPI's including resource availability.
- Plan the workload taking into account changes in requirements, resources or unscheduled events/occurrences. Co-ordinate and manage maintenance requests for site and continually improve the maintenance services. Whilst Accurately record all work activities & plant interventions using the CMMS (Mainsaver) in a timely fashion and ensure same from team members. Audit compliance & address any shortfalls.
- Breakdowns are carried out constructively, accurately whilst ensuring the companies strict HSE protocol is followed.
- Ordering materials and scheduling off site repairs.
- Attend shift change over meetings and daily production meetings.
- Coach, train & develop technical competencies of team.
- Work closely with the other Engineers to manage repairs and maintenance projects.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Ensure contractors are following safe work practices and procedures.
- Carry out Permit to work tasks and monthly safety audit of the area.
- PPM's that are required for compliance and safety are undertaken.
- Identify opportunities for capital investment.
Profile
A successful Maintenance Supervisor should have:
- Minimum of BTEC HND/C Certificate in electrical or mechanical engineering or relevant time serviced
- experience will also be considered.
- At least 5 years experience within a medium to heavy manufacturing environment.
- Multi Skilled with good hands-on knowledge of electrical, mechanical plant machinery including
- pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC systems.
- High voltage experience desirable.
- Good fault finding and problem solving skills essential, coupled together with the ability to work under
- pressure.
- Ability to understand and produce engineering drawings.
- General knowledge of health and safety standards and the ability to carry out on the job risk assessments.
- IOSH qualified.
