Dovetail and Slate is working with a leading private training provider committed to delivering high-quality education and training to a diverse range of learners. We specialize in supporting students to achieve their Functional Skills qualifications up to Level 2, empowering them to progress in their careers or further education. We are working a supporting and progressive private training company who are looking to expand their team. The role will oinvolve a range of on and offsite work with a varoety of learners aged 16 and above.
The Role:
As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in Functional Skills (English, Math, ICT) to learners of various levels, up to Level 3.
- Providing tailored support to ensure all learners achieve their qualifications and reach their full potential.
- Work on site and at Learners homes
- Monitoring and assessing learner progress, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting learners with different abilities and learning needs, using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates and engages learners.
Requirements:
- Teaching qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge and experience in delivering Functional Skills (English, Math, ICT)
- Experience in teaching learners of different levels, up to Level 3
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A commitment to continuous professional development
