PE (Physical Education) Support
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £95 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full Time/Part Time
Are you enthusiastic about sports and passionate about helping students reach their physical potential? GSL Education have an exciting opportunity for a PE (Physical Education) Support role at a client school in Rotherham. As a PE (Physical Education) Support, you will be integral to the Physical Education department, assisting in delivering engaging and inclusive sports activities that inspire students to lead healthy and active lives.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the PE teacher in organising and delivering a variety of sports and physical activities.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students, encouraging participation and skill development.
- Help manage equipment and maintain a safe and organised environment for PE lessons.
- Support students with different abilities, ensuring everyone can take part in activities.
- Encourage positive attitudes towards health and fitness among students.
- Assist in the planning and execution of sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a PE Support role or a similar position in an educational setting.
- A passion for sports and physical education.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
