The Vocational Tutor in Engineering will work within an Engineering Team, creating and delivering excellent teaching, learning and assessment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experience Tutor or Assessor who is looking for a change or a new challenge.Main Duties of the Vocational Tutor in Engineering:

  • Deliver on EAL, BTEC and City & Guilds Engineering at Level 1-3
  • Deliver excellent teaching, with thorough preparation and marking.
  • Set SMART targets to ensure students can reach their full potential
  • Develop creative resources
  • Bring the subject to life through the use of practical, theoretical and digital experiences

Role Requirements:

  • Appropriate level teaching qualification and Assessor Award or be willing to work towards
  • Ability to deliver to students at all levels and abilities and to use flexible and innovative methods of delivery
  • Be able to transfer practical experience into useful learning activities
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people receiving education and training
  • Level 3 vocational qualification and industry experience
  • Experience of employment in a Mechanical Engineering company and practical experience that covers Welding, and Machining (Manual and CNC)
