We're looking for a dynamic PE Teacher to join a specialist SEND provision in Stoke on Trent. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), using physical activity to boost their physical, emotional, and social development.

What will you be doing?
As a PE Teacher, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive physical education lessons that cater to the needs of students with SEND. Your role will involve:
- Teaching PE - Delivering lessons in various sports and physical activities, ensuring they are accessible and enjoyable for all students.
- Supporting Physical and Emotional Development - Encouraging students to be active, build confidence, and improve social skills through sports.
- Differentiated Instruction - Adapting lessons and activities to meet the varying needs and abilities of your students.
- Behaviour Management - Using positive reinforcement and tailored strategies to create an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Collaboration with Staff - Working with the SENCO and other teachers to ensure the holistic development of each student.
Who we're looking for:
- A passionate and enthusiastic individual with a love for physical education.
- Someone who is excited about working with students with SEND and SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Experience in teaching or coaching sports is a plus, but a willingness to learn is just as important.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all students.
- You'll need to have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
A Typical Day in the Role
Your day will begin with a team briefing to discuss the students you'll be working with. Then, you'll deliver exciting and engaging PE lessons, focusing on physical activity, teamwork, and personal development. You'll create a positive and supportive environment where students can thrive, build confidence, and enjoy being active. At the end of the day, you'll work with colleagues to review progress and prepare for the next day.
