Maintenance Engineer

£35 - £40 per hour | Monday to Friday Days Role available | Multiple shifts available

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) to join our team on a contract basis. This role is working within a fast-paced, highly automated production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Maintenance Engineer, you will diagnose and rectify electrical, electronic, and control system faults to maintain production efficiency.
  • Personally own and follow through on reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring completion or effective shift handover.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Prioritise health and safety, contributing to hazard reporting and safe working practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
  • Provide accurate and timely maintenance reports and electrical usage analysis.
  • Manage stock levels and follow spares allocation processes.

Requirements:

  • Recognised maintenance qualification.
  • Strong electrical bias with mechanical experience in a fast-moving, automated production setting.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial electrical/electronic maintenance environment.
  • Ideally, 18th Edition certification.
  • Hands-on experience with PPM, fault finding, and repairs in an industrial setting.
  • UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with inverters, PLCs, and PC-controlled process/production equipment.
  • Background as a Maintenance Engineer in the plastic extrusion or similar industries.
  • Previous work in a 24/7 production environment.
