Aim of Role:

As the Junior Accountant you will support the Financial Controller and Finance department by handling various financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily entry of financial data into accounting systems.
  • Preparing and sending out invoices to clients and recording payments received.
  • Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Ensuring that all accounts are reconciled, and discrepancies are resolved.
  • Helping with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Performing tasks as directed by the Financial Controller, such as data analysis and report preparation.

Qualifications:

Progress towards professional qualifications such as AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other professional qualification is advantageous.

Experience:

Some experience in an accounting role, even if through internships or part-time work, would be a distinct advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
