Analytical Chemist

We are seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our client’s dynamic team in a cGMP lab located just south of Cambridge. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in analytical chemistry, particularly within the pharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will be part of a global network, contributing to the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide full analytical testing support for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products/compounds in accordance with cGMP practices against strict timelines to successfully meet client milestones.
  • Perform a variety of complex sample preparations and analytical procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical compounds in various formulations for stability testing and other studies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of technical procedures and summarisation of data.
  • Communicate effectively and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Plan, schedule, and carry out work for successful project completion.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • General analytical chemistry knowledge and experience with instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, IC.
  • Ability to accurately document technical procedures and summarise data with minimum supervision.
  • Testing experience of pharmaceutical drug products or drug substances. 
  • Degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a cGMP Lab is preferred.
