Analytical Chemistry Scientist - HPLC

We are currently seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join our client’s dynamic team in Cambridgeshire. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years' industry experience and a robust knowledge of analytical chemistry and hands-on experience with instrumentation such as HPLC (essential), UHPLC and ideally Mass Spec. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, safety, and sustainability of pharmaceutical products, and requires a detail-oriented individual who can document technical procedures and summarise data with minimal supervision.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide full analytical testing support for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products in accordance with cGMP practices.
  • Ensure strict adherence to timelines to meet client milestones.
  • Communicate effectively, following detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Plan, schedule, and carry out work for successful project completion.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • General analytical chemistry knowledge and experience with HPLC (essential), UHPLC, and ideally GC, IC and MS.
  • Proficiency in accurately documenting technical procedures and summarising data.
  • Experience in testing pharmaceutical drug products or drug substances.
  • Higher education in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or a related field.
  • Experience working within a cGMP Lab is preferred.
  • Experience with inhalation products testing such as pMDIs, DPIs, and nebulisers would be advantageous.
  • Ability to write study protocols and reports with minimum supervision.
