About the role

I am looking for a talented Formulation Chemist to work on the development of biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical products in a cGMP environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate in Pharmaceutical Science (or a related Scientific degree) with a year's industrial placement, or for a more experienced candidate with at least two years of industry experience.  Applicants must have a very keen interest in the development of Pharmaceutical products though and a desire to follow this as a career path. 

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out quantitative measurement of compounds in various formulations to support product development, stability testing and batch certification.
  • Carry out the manufacturing of Medicinal Products for clinical trials
  • Plan and carry out work to complete projects successfully
  • Document and report activities and results, whilst meeting standards of quality and compliance

Desired qualifications, skills, experience and qualities

  • Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent
  • Expert understanding of GMP protocols and formulation development
  • Ideally previous experience of working in a cGMP Laboratory
  • Analytical chemistry knowledge with experience in HPLC and experience of testing pharmaceutical products preferred
  • Good IT literacy skills
  • Be self-motivated and demonstrate resilience
  • Be organised with attention to detail
  • Above all, be honest with the ability to provide great customer service
