Our client is a reputable and established supplier of high-quality products to the construction industry. As their success continues to grow, they are now seeking a proactive, efficient, and experienced Sales Support Administrator to join their small but dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the sales team and ensuring the seamless operation of various sales-focused processes. Your composed and proactive approach will be essential in navigating the ever-changing landscape of this thriving sales department.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Distribute incoming calls to the appropriate team member
  • Accurately & promptly process orders using order processing system
  • Provide warehouse with precise dispatch notes to ensure timely packing and dispatching of goods
  • Book on orders with appropriate courier
  • Create pro-forma invoices when pre-payment is required
  • Create Worldpay payment links for pre-payment
  • Update online orders with accurate status and notes accordingly
  • Follow online filing system routinely
  • Deal with order/delivery enquiries promptly, and liaising with colleagues to resolve issues swifty, with customer satisfaction always at the forefront
  • To provide ongoing support for the Sales team as required

Future additional responsibilities

  • To confidently take sales enquiries via telephone & email
  • Formulate quotations across all product sets
  • Assist with stock management including stock take and warehouse queries

Key skills & experience

  • Construction industry background and/or knowledge preferred but not essential
  • Minimum 2 years office administration experience ideally within a Sales environment
  • Strong organisational skills, with confidence to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Passionate about delivering the highest quality customer service
  • Proven experience working with online ordering systems including CRM management
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work harmoniously & effectively as part of a small and established team
  • Ability to confidently multi-task and show flexibility
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident system operator
  • Intermediate working experience with Microsoft 365
