CNC Miller

Permanent - Immediate Start

Rate Guide: £15.00 - £18.00 per hour

Location: Melbourn, Royston

CNC Miller - Setter / Operator / Programmer is required by precision sub-contracting engineering company based near Royston, on the Hertfordshire / Cambridgeshire / Essex border to produce high quality components typically used in various industries like Pharmaceutical, Medical etc.

In this interesting role, the CNC Miller will be setting and operating various CNC Mills up to 4 Axis, using Siemens Controls, producing low to high volume components, typically 1 offs to 10 offs.

You will be a team player, have good organisational and communications skills, be able to prioritise workloads, be analytical and thorough in all aspects of work.

The ideal candidate would have significant experience of:

  • Set and operate multi axis CNC Mills.
  • Any programming is desirable.
  • Producing one off and multiple parts to drawings.
  • CAD/CAM (One CNC, Fusion 360) - Desirable.
  • Ability to read & understand engineering drawings.
  • Inspecting own work.

Skills / Qualification Requirements:

  • To ideally be a time served mechanical engineer trained in machine shop technology and working practices.
  • City and Guilds or equivalent.

40 hours per week.

Working Days: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm.

(Flexibility in start and finish times).

Location: Melbourn, Royston.
