Cook/Chef

At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for a cook/chef to work in one of our residential care facilities, Southwell Court on a full time, 40 hour permanent contract.

Southwell Court is a modern, spacious residential care home in the heart of the village of Melbourn, Cambridgeshire.

The pay rate is to be discussed on an interview.

Responsibilities of a Cook/Chef:

  • Prepare residents meals and maintain a well-balanced nutritious diet (Taking into consideration special dietary needs and requirements as set out in Residents Care Plans, and residents menu choices)
  • Ensure food stock supplies are monitored and deliveries are correct, and all food are temperature probed, recorded, stored correctly and stock rotated.
  • Maintain a high standard of food preparation and implement the requirements set out by the Environment Health and Local Authority for the Home, the Food Safety Act 1990, and the Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2005. (Personal appearance must be of an acceptable level. Uniform provided must be worn, hair covered or tied back. Sensible enclosed non-slip shoes to be worn.)
