Wiring Technician

  • Annual Salary: Circa £30,000
  • Location: Near Royston
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Reed Engineering are currently working with a highly established subcontract manufacturer who are seeking a skilled electrical/electronic wiring technician to join their team, focusing on the wiring of panels, prototypes, and small units for a diverse range of industries, including pharmaceutical. This role is based just outside Royston, conveniently located 10 minutes from excellent public transport links.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assemble and test a range of bespoke products for a variety of industries.
  • Build and form cable assemblies, harnesses and related products.
  • Inspect products, equipment, and components to identify any faults and the need for adjustment or repair, to ensure units are completed to the highest standard.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Electronics Assembly, Panel wiring, box build or similar role.
  • Technical understanding and ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and operating manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand tools , soldering irons and related equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of circa £30,000 per year, however this is negotiable for an individual with the right skillset.
  • 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times.
