Location: Royston

Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)

We are currently seeking a skilled Print Operative to join our client’s team. Based in Royston, this internationally recognised labels company has a reputation for excellence, with multiple sites across the globe.

While experience with Flexographic Printing (e.g., operating Nilpeter presses) is an advantage, it is not essential. Candidates from digital print or litho print backgrounds are welcome, as the company is committed to providing full training for the right person.

The Role:
  • Operate Flexographic Printing equipment to produce high-quality labels according to job specifications.
  • Ensure all printed materials meet ISO 9001, BRC (Food), and PS9000 (Pharmaceutical) standards.
  • Maintain daily productivity targets and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Set up jobs efficiently, minimising ink and material waste, while ensuring accurate colour matching using X-rite spectrophotometer and GMK.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, troubleshoot issues, and advise the Shift Supervisor on tooling performance.
  • Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor to improve quality, processes, and production efficiencies.
The Candidate:
  • Flexo printing experience is desirable, but candidates with digital print or litho print backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • PC literacy and an ability to work with technical tools and systems.
  • Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and committed to achieving high standards.
Shifts:

One-week rotating shift pattern:

  • 6am – 2pm (Monday to Friday)
  • 2pm – 10pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary:

Up to £35,000 depending on experience.
