Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-on-one or group support to pupils with SEN, adapting learning resources to their individual needs in the education and training sector.
- Assist the class teacher with classroom management and ensuring all students are included.
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to implement personalized education plans.
- Create a nurturing and safe learning environment for students with additional needs.
- Support pupils during lessons, break times, and other school activities to enhance their well-being and participation.
- Help prepare educational materials to assist in student learning.
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with children with SEN is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to meet the diverse needs of the children.
- A relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) is advantageous but not essential.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to different learning challenges.
