What we’re looking for

This exciting opportunity is for a Client Manager to join a thriving and growing independent accountancy firm in Royston. Supporting the Partners with an impressive portfolio of clients, we would be delighted to hear from accountants with experience in the provision of technically excellent accounts and accounting advice.

This is a pivotal role in the practice and as such it presents an extremely exciting opportunity for a confident and ambitious accountant.

What are we looking for? You’ll be ACA, ACCA/CA or CTA qualified with a demonstrable period of experience in practice at supervisory level. You will have a significant amount of experience in the training and development of junior staff, and you will be excited to offer your networking and commercial development skills to help the practice attract and retain clients.

You will need to be a skilled leader and bring out the best in people, managing teams and supporting them with their learning and personal development. And you will have first-class communication skills and a real passion for the delivery of excellence.

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for leading and managing staff, as well as career and personal development and overseeing the allocation and flow of work within the department.
  • Supporting the Partners in all aspects of client management.
  • Oversee a varied client portfolio and the completion and review of accounting services.
  • Provide ambitious standards of excellent customer service to clients by answering queries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work on any ad hoc projects as necessary, such as cashflow forecasts and due diligence.
  • Offer first class communication both verbal and written.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by helping to build good relationships with both prospective clients and existing clients.
  • Work as part of a team that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment.
