About the Role

Are you passionate about driving positive change and improving manufacturing processes? Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Royston, is seeking a dynamic and motivated FAIR Engineer to join their team.

This full time, permanent role requires an organised and methodical individual with an understanding of the processes and procedures involved in the day-to-day operation of an Engineering department is important, as is the ability to prioritise. The control and review of documentation in support of the Manufacturing Engineering Department are key requirements of the role.

You will have Experience working in a manufacturing company, a strong understanding of Engineering drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & tolerancing), the ability to communicate clearly within a group environment as well as being enthusiastic and cooperative.

What you’ll be doing

The coordination and management of the FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) process including:

  • The compilation of FAIR’s
  • The delegation of FAIR activity to Engineers within the department
  • Approval authority for FAIR’s compiled by the Engineering team

The management and administration of the change control process (Change Review Board), including:

  • Assessment of change validity and feasibility
  • Presentation of the change(s) to the CRB (Change Review Board)
  • The allocation of relevant personnel to carry out the change
  • Closure of the change once all required evidence has been documented
