Principal Ecologist

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: Circa 45,000

A leading Ecological consultancy with over 35 years of experience is looking for a Principal Ecologist to join their team in Hertfordshire, to manage projects, lead junior staff, and contribute to the growth of their business.

Principal Ecologist Benefits:

Principal Ecologist Role:

This consultancy boasts a varied project portfolio that includes retail spaces, business parks, golf courses, airports, and shipping facilities. As a Principal Ecologist, you would play a significant role in overseeing and executing a variety of ecological projects and services. These would encompass Biodiversity Auditing, Ecological Impact Assessments, and Protected Species Surveys, as well as the interpretation of UK Ecology Legislation. A substantial aspect of this position will involve client engagement, alongside the mentorship of junior staff members.

Principal Ecologist Requirements:

Extensive experience within Ecological consultancy
Strong botanical skills (UKHab/NVC)
Protected Species Licence(s)
Project management experience
Full driving licence
