We are recruiting, on behalf of our lovely client based in Royston, for a full time Semi Senior Accountant. We are looking for someone diligent with a customer service approach and previous practice experience .

You will be qualified, have 2-3 years of Practice experience and be a proficient user of accounting packages such as SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks and IRIS.

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing and presenting completed accounts files to the accounts manager ready for review for sole traders, partnerships and corporate entities
  • Preparing basic business tax and personal tax computations and VAT returns
  • Assisting with compliance tasks such as KYC and AML checks
  • Training juniors and assisting with queries
  • Be directly responsible for tasks as requested by partners or accounts manager
  • Liaising directly with clients
  • Review and implementation of client bookkeeping systems
