Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join an independent Special Day School in Royston for students aged 6-19 with MLD, SLD, autism, ADHD, and complex medical needs. You'll assist students with their learning, development, and personal growth, both in the classroom and within the community. The role may involve physical intervention and personal care.

Duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist students with diverse needs to achieve educational and personal goals
  • Foster a respectful and empowering learning environment
  • Promote equality, diversity, and student well-being
  • Work closely with the team to provide high-quality care
  • Participate in physical interventions and care routines when required

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Level 2 TA qualification preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant work with SEND pupils is desirable.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to students' unique needs.
