About the Role

Are you passionate about driving positive change and improving manufacturing processes? Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a Senior NPI Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional.

As a Senior NPI Engineer, you will be managing a team of engineers and taking ownership of projects from concept to production. You will utilise a structured, gated process to oversee concept development, cost estimation, design, and final product launch. This role requires strong project management skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence. You should have a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience. A strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifically GD&T, is essential. Experience with MRP systems, preferably Syspro, and CAD software is also required.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the NPI process to ensure the seamless introduction of new products into manufacturing

  • Overseeing and mentoring a team of engineers, ensuring successful project execution

  • Carrying out engineering evaluations of work packages based on associated drawings, process specifications, and CAD data to produce accurate cost quotations

  • Setting up new parts in the ERP system, including BOMs and routing, in line with cost estimations

  • Managing projects using an APQP-based internal procedure, from the quotation stage through to production handover

  • Monitoring key project performance metrics such as Quality, Delivery, and Cost, and providing regular internal reports

  • Preparing and delivering gate review presentations to senior management and stakeholders, assembling project boards, and presenting deliverables for sign-off

  • Coordinating and carrying out PPAP activities, including risk registers, pFMEAs, process flow documentation, and MSA
