About the Role

Are you passionate about driving positive change and improving manufacturing processes? Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Royston, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Leader for their Soft Insulations department to join their team.

This full time, permanent role consists of being responsible for the safety and productivity of all production employees within the Insulations department, ensuring that production schedules are followed and executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters as well as the participation in both the hiring and performance management processes.

You will have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally a minimum of 2 Years’ experience in a leadership role, operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes and the ability to encourage and motivate team members.

What you’ll be doing

  • Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees in the work area by enforcing all safety and processing procedures adhering with the 5S protocol
  • Carry out and review risk assessments on all processes within the work area, including development of safe systems of work
  • Report accidents and near misses daily and conduct Safety investigations as required
  • Communicate effectively with management and operators
  • Train new employees and mentor existing employees
  • Update and maintain SOP’s and VAD’s
  • Ensure periodic checks such as TPM/Process tests are completed on time and kept up to date
  • To support the Company’s continuous improvement programme
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
  • Support NPI activity for new projects
  • Manufacturing parts & processes
