We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our secondary school team in St Neots. This full-time role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about education and is looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, supervising classes and ensuring a constructive learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

Supervise pupils during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that pre-prepared educational activities are completed.
Maintain a positive learning environment, manage behaviour effectively and ensure a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Assist in preparing learning materials as directed by teaching staff and support the needs of pupils in learning activities.
Promote the progress and well-being of pupils, providing feedback to teachers on pupil performance and behaviour.
Encourage students to interact with the classwork and to engage in the learning process.
Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.
Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting is desirable.
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote discipline and respect.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to understand and implement school policies and procedures.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
