We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our secondary school team in St Neots. This full-time role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about education and is looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, supervising classes and ensuring a constructive learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Supervise pupils during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that pre-prepared educational activities are completed.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment, manage behaviour effectively and ensure a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist in preparing learning materials as directed by teaching staff and support the needs of pupils in learning activities.
  • Promote the progress and well-being of pupils, providing feedback to teachers on pupil performance and behaviour.
  • Encourage students to interact with the classwork and to engage in the learning process.
  • Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.
  • Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies in accordance with school policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote discipline and respect.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to understand and implement school policies and procedures.
