Senior Payroll Officer - £40,000 - £42,000 - Royston

Frazer Jones are delighted to be working with a leading accounting firm based close to Royston. This is a permanent role and is offering and opportunity to grow into a Manager position in the next few years.

Our client offers hybrid working with 3 days per week required into the office.

The Role:

·Processing Clients Payroll

·Processing BACS payments

·Building and maintaining good relationships with clients liaising on payroll, employment and other matters, resolving client queries promptly

·A thorough knowledge and understanding of payroll matters and including current legislation

·Conducting compliance checks on a regular basis

·Processing starters, leavers, holiday pay, pension deductions using SMP/SPP/ SAP and SSP etc

·Issuing P45's, P60's etc

·Liaising with HMRC both in writing and on the telephone

·Calculation of tax and NIC contributions

·Dealing with auto enrolment, maintaining pension scheme records, schedules and payments

·Carry out RTI submissions and CIS returns

·Setting up and closing PAYE schemes

·Maintaining accurate and concise record systems

·Recording of time accurately on timesheets

·Dealing with client queries as they arise

·Collaborating with colleagues to plan work schedule.

Skills needed:

·Accountancy practice experience

·Strong people skills
