We are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a vibrant school in Royston. Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students’ varying needs.
- Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and behavioural policies.
- Provide appropriate feedback on work and encourage student growth and development.
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by school regulations.
- Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience in teaching Year 5 or similar levels.
- Proven ability to manage classrooms with behavioural challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High levels of creativity and resourcefulness.
