We are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a vibrant school in Royston. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference and skilled in managing classrooms with behavioural challenges. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible, bringing creativity and resilience to a dynamic classroom environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
  • Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students’ varying needs.
  • Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and behavioural policies.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on work and encourage student growth and development.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by school regulations.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in teaching Year 5 or similar levels.
  • Proven ability to manage classrooms with behavioural challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High levels of creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Patience and resilience, with a strong commitment to student development.
