Opus People Solutions are seeking a Senior Support Worker near Royston.

Your role as a Senior Support Worker will be to motivate and coach a team of support workers within a residential service for young adults with disabilities, including severe learning difficulties and complex health needs. This is a fantastic chance to excel your career, with plenty of opportunity to progress.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Support with inducting new members of staff and their ongoing training and development
  • Ensuring day-to-day tasks are effectively delegated & individual's plans are carried out effectively.
  • Support team leaders and managers with motivating and coaching staff
  • Provide care, emotionally and physically to the young adults in residence.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong experience in a similar role as a support worker/carer, ideally working with individuals with disabilities and complex health needs.
  • Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (desirable, to be at the top end of the salary bracket, you will have this)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate high organisational skills & a patient, empathetic nature.
