This is a full time salary position, Monday - Friday, 40 hour standard week although overtime can be offered.
Rate is dependent on skills/experience.
Job Outline
- Fabricating and maintaining components used in water treatment, distribution, and storage systems, ensuring compliance with industry norms.
- Including but not limited to: staircases, handrails, pipework and balustrades.
- Using a range of fabrication tools and machinery.
- Ensuring all work is completed to top-quality standards and within deadlines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, to determine work requirements
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Candidate
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites if required.
- Familiarity with piping standards and specifications: In-depth understanding of industry-specific piping codes, standards, and regulations, ensuring all components meet required quality and safety standards.
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication: Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and the ability to fabricate metal parts to meet project requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and isometric drawings: Essential for accurately fabricating and assembling components based on detailed technical specifications.
- The ideal candidate will have City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or NVQ equivalent in Fabrication/Welding or Mechanical Engineering.
- Candidates must have right to work in the UK as sponsorship cannot be offered.
