Marks Sattin are working in partnership with an industry leading organisation in Rugby, Warwickshire to recruit a Management Accountant / Senior Management Accountant on permanent basis. My client work a flexible hyrid working model. My client are going through an exciting time of change which has led to business growth. As a result, my client wish to add a Management Accountant to the finance team. The Management Accountant will report directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for producing and communicating accurate management reporting, including management accounts, appraisals, forecasts and budgets to the Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

  • Oversight of consolidated management accounts to a standard that is presentable to the Board - with commentary.
  • Providing insight into the P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) on sites against budgets on a monthly basis
  • Act as finance lead on budget meetings with the necessary stakeholders
  • Ensuring a "best practice" culture to junior members of staff and provide guidance and support where necessary
  • Assist with internal and external audit enquires, including implementation of any recommendations.
  • Assist the Finance Director with business planning, reviewing future forecasts as well as analysing past data.
  • Providing commercial insight on financial information, highlighting opportunities and risks to aid key decision making.
  • Support the Finance Director, by ensuring policies and procedures are complied with and ensure that all aspects of the business are operating within the documented controls.

To be considered, you will be:

  • A Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Experienced working within a dynamic finance function in a similar role
  • A fantastic communicator, with the ability to liaise well with senior stakeholders
  • A proficient MS Excel user and a good user of ERP systems
  • A commercial thinker, with the ability to "tell the story" behind the numbers
  • Highly numerate with strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Innovative, with the motivation to continuously improve existing processes
  • Inquisitive, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence
