About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounting knowledge and operational insight to contribute to the smooth running of our finance operations. You will play a key role in providing accurate financial reporting, analysis, and supporting operational decisions within a dynamic and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure all operational costs are appropriately recorded and analysed.

Cost Management: Monitor and analyse operational costs, identifying areas of improvement and providing detailed variance analysis.

Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of operational accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to the wider business on financial performance and cost efficiency.

Process Improvement: Work closely with internal teams to identify areas for process improvements and efficiencies within financial operations.

Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with company standards.

Reporting & Support: Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for senior management and provide support to other departments on financial matters.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Operations and Finance, to ensure effective financial planning and control.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).

Experience in an operational accounting role, ideally within a similar industry.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail.

Knowledge of financial regulations and internal control processes.
