We have a couple of Contract Stress Engineer roles working on Power applications for Naval related products. The roles will require experience of undertaking Stress Engineering on a variety of Components to ensure they meet the Requirements sepcifications using FEA tools and Hand Calculations as follows -:

  • Analysis of plastic components for collapse, buckling, fatigue, heat transfer etc.
  • Analysis for loads from shock.
  • Weld definition for strength and fatigue.
  • Identification of design deficiencies and offer improvement proposal.
  • Build FE Models and compile Analysis plans.
  • Report Writing and Documentation.

It is expected that you will have significant Analysis of Mechanical components and will have used FEA tools such as Abaqus, ANSYS and knowledge of ASME and DNV.

It would be an advantage if you currently hold SC Level Security Clearance however you must at least be willing and eligible to undertake this process.
