About the role

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for a motivated and analytical Business Analyst to join a Transformation & Special Projects team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in digital transformation, strategy, process improvement, and project management.

Reporting to the Transformation Director The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities, document requirements, and support transformation projects. This role provides exposure to key business functions, senior leadership, and industry-leading methodologies, with training and professional development included.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Improvement

  • Support the development and implementation of business transformation strategies and plans.
  • Conduct market, industry, and internal business analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth, cost optimisation, and process efficiencies.

Digital Transformation

  • Analyse current systems, workflows, and business processes to identify digital transformation opportunities.
  • Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements for transformation projects.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to define and deliver digital solutions that align with business needs.
  • Support system implementations, ensuring successful adoption and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Assist in testing and validation of new systems and processes to ensure they meet business needs.

Process Mapping & Improvement

  • Map and analyse existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency and efficiency.
  • Work with stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness through automation, technology adoption, and best practice methodologies.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of transformation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop project plans, define key milestones, and track progress against deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely issue resolution and stakeholder communication.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions to gather requirements and drive collaboration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of business process mapping (e.g., using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Preferred Skills & Experience (Not Essential)

  • Exposure to project management or business analysis methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, PRINCE2, or Agile principles.
  • Understanding of business process improvement techniques.
