An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Engineer to join a innovative and rapidly growing construction consultancy known for delivering exceptional services across major infrastructure programmes.

The Planning Engineer will join an experienced team based in Rugby. This is a unique opportunity to work on a major programme for a key client, contributing to the successful delivery of large-scale projects that shape the future of infrastructure.

The Planning Engineer will be offered a flexible working week, circa 2 days on site / office with the remainder working remote. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Perform critical path analysis, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
  • Provide input to progress reports, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines and milestones.
  • Identify potential schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support project controls, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and client expectations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
