CNC Miller Setter Operator (5 Axis)
On behalf of Our client we are looking to recruit an experienced 5 Axis CNC Miller Setter Operator. The successful candidate will have a strong background setting and operating 5 axis CNC Millers, however candidates with 3 and 4 axis knowledge will be considered as some 5 axis training can be given. CADCAM Porgramming knowledge will also be advantageous but is not essential. This is a permanent role in a company with a strong reputation in Engineering. A friendly Engineering team that can offer some support and training to the right candidate. Our client has a varied order book and therefore programming and machining work within the business is interesting and varied day by day producing mostly low volume and prototype components. As most of the components produced are high precision/ and to tight tolerances it will be beneficial if you have worked within any of the following industries including Formula 1, Motorsport, Oil & Gas and Aerospace.
CNC Miller Setter Operator (5 Axis)
- Setting and Operating a variety of machines including vertical mills, horizontal mills and 5 axis
- Setting and operating a 3 and 4 Axis Machines when required
- Editing programmes using Fanuc controls or using the CADCAM software
- Programming is not a requirement for this role but CADCAM Programming knowledge will be an advantage
- Supporting other machinists to ensure work is caried out on time
- Experience interpreting Engineering Drawings
- Work to tight tolerances and inspection of own work
- To work to your own initiative and understand manufacturing processes
CNC Miller Setter Operator (5 Axis)
- Ability to set and operate CNC Milling machines 3 and 4 axis
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc or HAAS controls
- A good understanding of Engineering drawings
- Ability to work to tight tolerances
- Ability to set and operate 5 Axis CNC Machines (Advantageous but not essential as some training can be given)
- CADCAM Programming Knowledge (Advantageous but not essential)
