Project Manager Civil Engineering - Highways

Overview of the project:

This Project Manager will be initially working on a highways project based in the Northampton area. The initial works are likely to involve junction improvement works on the National Highways Network along with some private development works for a logistics site. This will include new build earthworks, drainage and highway works.

As the Project Manager you will be reporting into the Operations Manager and have overall responsibility for delivery of the designated projects and coordination of all relevant teams such as operations, commercial, planning, design etc.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have 2-3 years minimum experience within Project Management in a Construction/ Civil Engineering setting.
  • Have worked with both public and private clients, as you will be liaising with both entities on this project.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects.
  • Degree or equivalent in construction, commercial, or engineering-related disciplines.
  • Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders.
  • Delivery-driven mindset with the ability to lead and motivate teams to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Strategic, operational, technical, and management skills.
  • Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE.
  • Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel between office and project sites as required.
