Your new companyYour new school is a small school based in Rugby. The school are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Reception Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team until the end of the academic year. The school hours are 8.30-15.30 Monday to Friday. The contract will be a fixed term, through Hays timesheets, from February 24th until the end of the summer term 2025. The pay is variable based on experience, but can vary from £85-£100 per day based on experience.
Your new roleYour new role will be working within a classroom environment assisting with Reception pupils. You will need to be able to work under the instructions of the teacher, but also work on your own initiative when necessary. Organisation is essential, and you must have good knowledge of the EYFS and be confident in carrying out small group learning. You must have good written skills, and be willing to support individual pupils to access the learning where necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will be regularly communicating with staff, parents/ careers and children, so good communication is a must. You must have strong behaviour management skills and be committed to ensure the children stay on task.
- You will need to have atleast 40 days of experience working with children, and have worked in a childcare within the past two years.
- You must be supportive and engaging, whilst demonstrating a professional manner.
