Your new companyHays Education is renowned for our strong reputation for supporting Primary Schools with their supply staff around the Rugby area, and are currently working with a school in Rugby who are recruiting for an Early Years Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis 8.30-15.30. Join us as an Early Years Teaching Assistant. You'll work in an Early Years class, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment. Your new role

  • Energetic and Nurturing: Your enthusiasm and care will help create a positive and engaging environment for the children.
  • Understanding and Listening: Pay close attention to each child's needs and interests to support their individual development.
  • Initiative: Be proactive in both classroom settings and small group activities, adapting to the needs of the children.
  • Stimulating Environment: Create a classroom that is both educational and fun, encouraging exploration and learning.
  • Child-Led Learning: Follow the children's interests and allow them to guide their own learning experiences.
  • Tracking and Monitoring: Keep detailed records of each child's progress and ensure they are meeting their developmental targets.
  • EYFS Curriculum: Have a solid understanding of the EYFS framework to effectively support and plan for the children's learning.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Level 2 or 3 in Early Years
  • 2+ years of experience in a childcare setting (voluntary or paid)
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
