Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (30-minute lunch break).
- Friday: 7:30 am - 12:30 pm.
Annual Salary between £35,00 - £48,000

Day to Day Duties
- Perform electrical repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of CNC and manual production equipment, including kilns and furnaces, in line with HSE and manufacturer guidance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve faults on plant machinery to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain and repair electrical control systems, CNC drive systems, PLCs, and temperature controllers.
- Handle mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and drive systems.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
- Manage maintenance schedules, complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks, and support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Record detailed maintenance activities using CMMS software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Support plant installations and continuous improvement projects.
- Provide guidance and mentor-ship to apprentices or understudies.
- Be available for overtime, call-outs, and flexible working when required.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as an electrical/electronic maintenance technician or service engineer, ideally within manufacturing or the service industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, CNC drives, PLCs, and temperature controllers.
- Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and machine documentation.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software and Microsoft Office.
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
Desirable Experience
- Apprentice-trained with a recognised qualification such as HNC or BTEC in electrical/electronic engineering or a related discipline.
- IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Enthusiastic, team-oriented, and proactive with a "can-do" attitude.
