As part of the companies continued growth FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Finance Manager / Financial Controller Vacancy.
Joining the business in this newly created position you will be supported by the Finance Director in preparing financial reports, budgets and forecasts for our head office and Business Unit Accounts.
The role involves maintaining accurate financial records daily, analyzing financial data and preparing the management accounts.
You will also be managing a team of 2 junior accountants to ensure the efficient operation of the finance department.
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
- Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
- Intercompany Accounting and reporting
- Assisting the FD with reporting and AD-HOC tasks
- Onsite meetings at our Operational Business Units and managers to ensure KPI’s are being met and annual stock reviews
- Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
- Fixed Asset management
- Team management: Supervising accounting staff and mentoring junior accountants
- Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will be working towards AAT / ACCA / CIMA if not already qualified and ideally have previous experience gained within a similar position operating as Financial Accountant / Management Accountant / Finance Manager
Those that are QBE but have suitable experience will be considered.
Experience gained in leading a small team is desirable but not essential
Good systems experience is key ideally including Sage and or Xero Experience alongside a reasonable knowledge of MS Excel (Pivots / Look Ups etc)
In return this role promises to be varied and progressive with a competitive basic salary up to £60,000 coupled with excellent benefits coupled with scope for hybrid working.
