This is a pivotal leadership role within the UK team, providing strategic business partnering across all directorates and overseeing financial systems implementation. As Head of Business Partnering, you will lead a high-performing team, ensuring that financial insights drive key decisions while collaborating with global teams to support the NGO's impactful mission.

Description

  • Act as a key business partner for all UK directorates, providing financial insight and advice.
  • Lead the implementation of financial systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI, to improve accessibility, and functionality.
  • Oversee audit processes, ensuring compliance with UK laws and donor requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to drive systems improvements and integration.
  • Train and mentor business partners and non-financial colleagues to improve financial literacy.
  • Work closely with the CFO and Financial Controller to align strategic objectives with operational goals.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including donors.
  • Provide leadership to the team, fostering a culture of proactivity, collaboration, and accountability.

Profile

The successful Head of Business Partnering will:

  • Be a qualified accountant (CCAB - ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Have experience in business partnering, financial systems implementation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, able to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Bring experience in audits, compliance, and working with complex, multi-entity organisations.
  • Have NGO or not-for-profit sector experience (desirable but not essential).

Longevity in previous roles and a strategic mindset will be key to success in this role.
