In-Plant Ink Technician - Leading Ink and Coatings ManufacturerLocation: Onsite at Customer Facility

AYG Chemical is working in partnership with a market-leading manufacturer of inks and coatings to find a skilled and motivated In-Plant Ink Technician. In this role, you will be representing the manufacturer at a customer’s site, ensuring smooth and efficient ink operations while supporting the customer’s print team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the onsite ink team, acting as the vital link between the ink manufacturer and the customer.
  • Blend and distribute inks to print presses, ensuring accuracy and minimal downtime during production.
  • Effectively manage inventory levels while ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Handle press returns, providing support for both pre- and post-press operations.
  • Assist printers with color matching to meet customer specifications and minimize setup time.
  • Utilize X-Rite software for ink formulation, color management, and off-press operations.
  • Maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an In-Plant Ink Technician is preferred, though candidates with printing industry experience will also be considered.
  • Strong color-matching abilities and knowledge of ink formulation practices are a plus.
