HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER
I am looking for an HGV Class 1 Driver / HIAB Driver for an ever growing company in the Midlands
Location of the HGV Driver / HGV Class 1 Driver / HGV HIAB Driver - Rugby
Salary for HGV HIAB Driver / HGV Class 1 Driver Starting at £19.00ph upwards (DOE) on 39 hour week, plus 7 hours guaranteed overtime at x 1.5
Working Hours of the HGV Class 1 Driver / HGV Driver Monday to Thursday 07:30am - 17:30pm - (Friday finish at 17:15) 39 hours a week plus 7 hours guaranteed overtime
Motivated HGV Class 1 Driver / HGV Driver / HIAB Driver required for a rapidly growing business and to be a part of their future success. Must Have a HGV Class 1 Licence.
Key Responsibilities of a HGV Driver / HGV Class 1 Driver :
- Loading, unloading and transporting Construction plant equipment and site accommodation
- Loading and securing each load in compliance with the required regulation.
- Carrying out and completing delivery and collection checks on each load ensuring all aspects of the load are captured ensuring any damage or cleaning is noted and photos taken to evidence
- Daily vehicle checks and inspections on the allocated vehicle reporting any defects to the transport manager immediately ensuring constant compliance in line with regulations and company standards.
- Upkeep, light maintenance and housekeeping of your allocated vehicle, and supporting the team when not out delivering with other duties as and when requested.
- Serve customers safely, efficiently and in line with company policies and procedures
- Assisting with the cleaning of plant returned from site in order to maintain a high standard of presentation of equipment and assisting in getting equipment ready for hire
- Carry out other branch duties as required
Qualities and Requirements of a HGV Driver / HGV Class 1 Driver:
- A Clean Class 1 licence
- Hiab License ALLMI
- Candidates will ideally have experience in abnormal loads, loading, securing and transporting of plant equipment
- NPORS or CPCS Loader Securer advantageous
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good initiative.
- Good time management.
- Good organisational skills.
