Shipping Operative

We are currently hiring for a Logistics/Shipping Operative to join a well established player in the distribution industry.

This is an exciting time to join this company as they are currently going through a period of growth and change!

This is a rare job opportunity where you will receive lots of training, it's essentially an entry level role into the transport world.

Duties will include:

• Utilising and updating the internal systems daily
• Conducting parcel investigations by liaising with internal departments e.g. sales and customers.
• Problem solving transit shipments issues
• Coordinating UK express parcel deliveries
• Managing insurance claims with carriers and other stakeholders.
• Working closely with the sales team, providing updates on shipment ETA.
• General supporting warehouse duties.

Skills required:

• Experience within the warehouse and distribution industry
• Proactive nature and the ability to take ownership of issues
• Fantastic communication skills both written and verbal
• Analytical thinker
• Computer skills - competent using excel and learning new internal systems
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
