Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess underwriting applications to ensure risk is accurately managed.
- Collaborate with sales teams and other departments to ensure seamless client interactions and exceptional service.
- Contribute to the development of underwriting strategies, risk assessment procedures, and pricing models.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and colleagues.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and relevant financial developments to identify business opportunities.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Previous experience as an underwriter, ideally with knowledge of trade credit, accountancy, or commercial finance (but not required).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and manage risk effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Proactive, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
