Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nightshift CNC Supervisor to manage the operations of our precision breakdown machine shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming Siemens CNC Milling Centres, and leading a team of machinists during the night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of machinists on the night shift
  • Set up, operate, and program Siemens CNC Milling Centres
  • Perform manual machining on lathes and mills
  • Potentially engage in basic welding tasks
  • Solve complex machining problems in a breakdown environment
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet production schedules

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating using Siemens, Fanuc, or Heidenhain controls
  • Strong technical background in precision machining
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team
  • Adaptability and capability to handle a range of tasks including CNC programming, manual machining, and potential welding
  • Solid problem-solving abilities in a breakdown environment
  • Understanding of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing setting

Day-to-day

  • Plan and prioritize tasks for the night shift team
  • Monitor and ensure the efficiency and accuracy of machine operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
  • Provide guidance and support to team members
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to optimize production processes
  • Conduct regular equipment maintenance and report any issues
