Empowering Learning are looking to recruit a number of learning support assistants that are able to work on a 1:1 basis with children in Key stage 2 to Key stage 4. The children have a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Heath needs alongside autism. Ofsted have recently rated the school 'Good' and this has been the case consistently for a number of years now.

We are looking for individuals that are really looking to make a difference to vulnerable children that are disengaged with education and struggle to interact with teachers and other pupils. This role will require lots of patience, resilience and perseverance. Being TeamTeach desired however if this is something you do not have then you must be willing to become trained through Empowering Learning.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a support qualification
  • Are experienced working with children who have SEMH and/or ASC associated behaviours
  • Have a sound understanding of complex behaviours
  • Are keen to support and teach children through positive reinforcement
  • Are caring and compassionate
