Job Type: Part-Time- 4 hours per day

Job Summary: HRGO Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Kitchen Assistant to join a school catering team located in Rugby. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to the school menu.
  • Serve food to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Wash and store kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes.
  • Assist with the receipt and storage of deliveries.
  • Follow all food safety and health and safety regulations.
  • Support the Head Cook/Catering Manager with any additional tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure.
  • Enhanced DBS check (required).
